Synopsis

Rukmini’s Gold is about journeys, connections and moments of departure. A little old lady clutching a battered old suitcase hobbles onto a deserted platform distraught at missing her train. Set in stations around the world, surpassing a century, it tracks the passage of family and diaspora as the dawn of industry determines the global movement of labour. (fringetoronto.com)
