Laboratoriet began in 2005 at the open venue Entré Scenen (and later, at the dance venue Bora Bora) in Aarhus, Denmark. Since 2013, we are based at the arts production centre Godsbanen. Laboratoriet is used by performing arts professionals, primarily from Denmark and the Nordic countries, but we welcome applications and experiment ideas from other countries as well. The artists come from theatre, performance, dance and cross-over genres involving for example visual arts, music or digital art.
