History

Theatre Symbiosis began in 2002, with its inaugural production being Amiri Baraka’s Dutchman, performed at the Helen Gardiner Phelan Playhouse in September 2003. Its second production The Four Minute Mile by Kevin Morris was part of the 2010 Toronto Fringe Festival.

Mission Statement

Theatre Symbiosis aims to create engaging productions that uniquely and creatively explore the evolution of the performing arts as influenced by the mutual development of society, culture, media and other art forms over time. Productions can include a variety of artistic mediums and must stretch the boundaries of creative theatrical expression.
