Synopsis
LufTeater, Le Théâtre en l’Air, presents a musical and dramatic tribute to Mordekhay Gebirtig, the legendary Yiddish composer. The troupe recreate Gebirtig’s Yiddishland, a place where workers, mothers and children cross paths with thieves and prostitutes. Featuring poems and monologues by legendary Yiddish authors Sholom Aleichem, Yitskhok Leibush-Peretz, Itsik Manger, Aaron Lutzki, Aaron Zeitlin, Kadya Molodowski, Avrom Sutzkever, Moyshe-Leyb Halpern and Moyshe Waldman.
