Synopsis
Creditors is a blackly comic depiction of gender warfare; a savage tragicomedy that is both painful and fascinating. Slyly manipulative Gustav, one of the play’s tortured threesome and Adolph’s tormentor, is a portrait of raw, undiluted destructiveness. Systematically poisoning Adolph’s marriage by suggestion, Gustav is out for revenge. The power games continue to shift with the arrival of Adolph’s wife Tekla, his object of desire and disdain.
