Synopsis

Sheltered debutante Adeline Sweetman is throwing a dinner party at her Toronto abode in 1928. Her guests include her faux bohemian brother; her nose-bleed-prone sister-in-law; a cruel businessman; an idealistic film producer ; and an oversexed trapeze artist dubbed The Bombyx Mori (Latin for “silkworm”, naturally ) . Also present: a shifty-eyed valet, an overworked cook and an awkward ukulele musician. Intrigue ensues as each guest witnesses a “sockdolager” – the decisive blow that changes everything .
