Synopsis
Girl in the Machine is an intimate dystopian drama that explores our potential digital future, and what it means to be loved. Polly and Owen have nailed it. Successful in their careers and wildly in love with each other, they feel ready to take on the world. Polly has recently been promoted, and spends most of her time working, so Owen presents her with a new gadget, ‘Black Box’, to help her relax. But when a mysterious new technology creeps into everyone’s lives, the line between physical and digital rapidly dissipates, and Polly and Owen are forced to question whether their definitions of reality and freedom are the same.
