Synopsis
Following the Second World War, a young child and her displaced parents arrive at Pier 21 in Halifax to begin their lives as immigrants challenged by the ways and wonders of another country, Canada. Father has exceptional health issues and mother goes to work as a baker at Ottawa’s Lord Elgin Hotel. and so begins the remarkable story of a Canadian journey: how Luba Goy surmounts a challenging past to become a favourite radio, stage and television personality in
