Synopsis

Equus tells the story of Alan Strang, a teenage boy who is under psychiatric evaluation after blinding six horses. In Alan, the doctor reveals a mind deeply confused about religious worship and sexuality; the play examines these issues in the context of what behaviours and beliefs are socially appropriate.
