Synopsis
Can exes truly be friends? This striking, profound, and downright MESSY Toronto-based story explores the complexities that can be coupled with gay dating, age-gap relationships, interracial relationships, and infidelity. It explores grief and the intricacies of ‘moving on’, as well as the differences between boundary setting and enabling mistreatment.
“EX-CHANGE OF WORDS” centers around Curtis, an anxious avoidant and over-thinker in his 40s, who is grieving the loss of the love of his life, while trying to maintain a friendship with his most recent ex-lover, and has simultaneously entered a new romantic relationship as ‘the other man’.
