Synopsis
The action takes place in a little Jewish village in Russia in 1905. Tevye, a dairyman, his sharp-tongued wife Golde, and their five daughters learn to cope with changing times and traditions. The people of Anatevka are full of spirit, hope, and humour, despite the difficult times. The musical score explodes with energy and weeps with tenderness. “Fiddler” is built around universal themes with which audiences of any age, ethnic, and cultural background can identify!
