Synopsis

A play about perfection. The self-sabotage of measuring yourself against the impossible, and the danger of forcing another onto the precarious pedestal of your ideal.   This one-woman show follows the friendship of Leah and Carrol, seen through the slightly distorted perspective of Leah, from building forts together in the second grade, to having a crush on the same boy, to climbing churches and jumping onto moving trains. As these two inseparable friends grow up together an unspoken competition forms and intensifies between them. What happens when that festering jealousy finally surfaces may not only destroy their friendship, but ruin both of their lives. (risingbelowthesun.com)
