Synopsis
This is a show about the glamour of failure. About the celebration of futility. About failing gloriously at all the ways society wants you to be successful. About being a kid with a lot of dyslexia and not being able to fit in. And yet – it is not really about dyslexia at all. It’s about how being a human is really embarrassing. It is SO humiliating. All of the time. And all of our emotions are really embarrassing, and all of the things that we accidentally do are humiliating…all of the moments where you’ve been humiliated or have embarrassed yourself, which happens on a daily basis, you cannot deny this, these moments comprise the fundamental human experience, and if you try to cover that up, you’re trying to cover up a basic part of The Deal, which is: being a human is f**king embarassing.
