Synopsis
The Queen West Project takes multiple dancers and pairs them with
audience members to travel down Queen West. Part audio tour, part
immersive dance experience, the audience members are wearing headphones
through which they hear a soundscape that incorporates text, music, and
instructions so that a dance begins to take shape – one that only the
audience can hear. Devised in collaboration with youth from Eva’s
Phoenix, the Queen West Project explores the area’s relationship to
homelessness, mental health and regeneration. (passemuraille.on.ca)
