Synopsis
“Next to Normal” is a contemporary rock musical that explores the complexities of a family dealing with mental illness. At its heart is Diana, a mother struggling with bipolar disorder, and the impact her condition has on her relationship with her husband Dan and their teenage children, Natalie and Gabe. The musical explores themes of love, loss, and resilience, offering a raw and honest portrayal of a family striving to find a sense of normalcy amidst their challenges.
