Synopsis

This riveting, cutting-edge drama follows the harrowing true story of Dana Higginbotham, a chaplain in a psychiatric ward, who was abducted by one of the patients and held captive in a series of Florida motel rooms for five months.

Her son, acclaimed playwright Lucas Hnath has created a powerful drama for the stage with his mother’s own voice and courageous words. The show’s dialogue is audio culled from days of recorded interviews. Performed with precision by Jordan Baker, she lip-syncs every word, both channelling and paying tribute to Dana Higginbotham. (crowstheatre.com)
