In this bold new musical theatre experiment, Shifting Ground Collective gives you a beloved musical with a twist even they won’t see coming!
Ordinary Days tells the story of four young New Yorkers whose lives intersect as they search for fulfilment, happiness, love and cabs. Through a score of vibrant and memorable songs, their experiences ring startlingly true to life.
The twist? The actors won’t know which of the four New Yorkers they will be bringing to life until you do. Each performance, the roles the actors will be playing will be decided live by an onstage coin toss moments before the show begins. An experiment in lottery storytelling with over a dozen possible combinations, no two performances will be alike!
Adam Gwon’s brilliant musical brings you a story for anyone who’s ever struggled to appreciate the simple things in a complex place. With equal doses of humor, risk and poignancy, it celebrates how 8.3 million individual stories combine in unexpected ways to make city living such a unique and unpredictable experience.
