Synopsis
This gripping, Pulitzer Prize winning drama takes place in the Deep South and begins in the year 1948, just prior to the civil rights movement. Diasy Werthan, a rich, sharp tongued, Jewish widow is forced by her son to hire a soft-spoken black chauffeur after she crashes the family vehicle. A warm-hearted, humorous and affecting study of the unlikely relationship between the two and the how, over the course of twenty-five years, they slowly build a relationship that transcends their differences.
