365 Days/365 Plays ()

Produced by

Sunface Collective

Presented by

EJ3Arts and Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies

Playwright: Suzan-Lori Parks
Director: Teodora Djuric

Venue

The Helen Gardiner Phelan Playhouse

Run

April 23rd, 2026 – April 25th, 2026

Synopsis

Written as one play a day beginning in November 2002, Parks’ work responds to the political and social realities of its time from war to systemic racism, many of which continue to resonate today. This production reimagines selected plays in 2026, exploring themes of collective grief, absurdity, anxiety, and hope.

Rather than staging all 365 plays, the creative team has curated 30 plays, including Parks’ three “Constants,” creating a non-linear, maximalist performance that experiments with movement and sound. (artsci.utoronto.ca)
