Synopsis
The play revolves around a dinner party which is attended by real and fictitious women from different
times in history, literature, and art including Pope Joan, Dull Gret, Lady Nijo, Patient Griselda and
Isabella Bird. Set in Margaret Thatcher’s Britain, Top Girls explores the challenges working women
